Now some staffer’s gonna have to wake Thad up and explain to him what amnesty is. This could cut into nap time.

What is a Democrat politician’s pledge worth? About 2/3 of the average GOP politician’s pledge. In other words, zero.

Cochran should just bow out and keep his pension.

Take that Karl Rove and Jeb Bush . . .

This could actually work pretty well.

Win Iowa, Colorado, Alaska . . . lose Miss and Kentucky. Get 51-49 control of the Senate and see all the old wood get kicked out!

Very true. The nanosecond Harry Reid gets in his face that "pledge" will melt like Nancy Pelosi after a bucketful of water.

Doesn’t he keep his pension either way?

What is a Democrat politician’s pledge worth?

As much as the Stupak Amendment/E0.

Childers has your vote?

You’re trusting he’ll hold to that anti-amnesty pledge?

This certainly should grab some attention. It will be interesting to hear
what some of our MS Freepers think about this.

When Childers was in the house, he voted with conservatives about 40% of the time. Not great, but not bad for a Democrat.

If we have to lose either MS or KY, Childers is the better choice.

Cochran may have criminal liability relating to the primary, which can be avoided by a graceful exit.

He has my vote because he never called me a racist like the Cochran camp did.

The Obamacare vote is a good marker of what you can expect from Democratic mavericks.I still don't think Cochran is better than Childers, although neither is ideal.

I wish Gene Taylor were running, in all honesty.

I don't think either is a fantastic choice, but conservatives who are contemplating voting for Cochran have lost the plot.
