Perhaps grandmotherhood will change her perspective in life? It can be a life-changing experience so hopefully that will happen to her. She may, like so many others, relish it. Let’s hope!

This particular terminology was probably focus group tested. It may be weird to us, but that just means it likely is viewed as positive to many others. I just don’t understand my country anymore.

When Chelsea was trying to decide what university to attend, the cartoonist Jeff Danziger had a cartoon illustrating the pitch the people from Stanford made. They were pointing at a map of the US with a dot on the West Coast to indicate the location of Stanford, and a dot on the East Coast labeled "Mom." Stanford was as far as she could get from Hillary.
I went down there back in the late nineties on business and it amazed me how many New York and New England sounding accents I was hearing down there.
