Greeters at WalMart?

Not sure all of them hired on as Wal-Mart greeters. A few of them probably did though.

The fascinating thing here is that, if we are to believe the article, employers during this period decided that it was a better business bet to hire the oldsters rather than the young'uns. I'm not sure about this, but it could be that the 55+ crowd probably has some notion of how a workplace is supposed to function, as opposed to the younger folks, who appear to be terminally self-absorbed and who also seem to think that the office is just another place where they can indulge their smart phone addictions. They don't seem to be able to take their eyes off their little digital displays long enough to do the job the employer hired them to do.

The more I cogitate upon the matter, the more sense it makes.

Or, perhaps the older folks already were insured on Medicare and didn’t need expensive company insurance?

My 3 older kids are great workers and have never walked away from a job interview without a job. Intelligence and enthusiasm and commitment count.
