“I wasnt in Africa last month, but I DID sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.”
Good one. OTOH, think about the potential risk that the room cleaning staff at hotels face when they clean a room after someone infected has stayed there.
Cobb Co. Jail inmate has tested negative for Ebola
“The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office says inital Ebola tests have come back negative for a Cobb County Jail inmate. One test is still outstanding, but officials say they expect that test to come back negative as well.
Earlier today, jail officials told Channel 2 Action News they were no longer accepting inmates after an inmate developed a fever. The man told jail officials that he recently traveled to Africa.
The man was arrested overnight for DUI.
We are anticipating an update from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and we will carry it live on wsbtv.com.”

No way I’m believing this one until he gets giant blisters.
I was sitting here all comfy that I'm pretty far away from the madness for now. But wait. Of all crazy things, last week on the way home from a teaching assignment, my daughter stopped at an African grocery across the river and bought some junk she couldn't afford.
When she brought it here, I was cross and told her to take that stuff out of here but she left 2 pkgs of cookies, rectangular, scalloped edges, arrowroot taste. Well, in the course of days, I get hungry for something sweet that I can chew or dissolve and ate them all lol.
But my point is that I guess we don't have to worry too much about surfaces after a certain period of time but who knows in that little neighborhood, who has come from West Africa recently, shops at store, etc., etc.
I love ethnic groceries but would choose ME or Asian over African.
Just some anecdotal material and to show that maybe we are closer to some things than we think.
Maybe I should just nuke the mail in the microwave. What say you?
I plan too but be careful that you don't set it afire. Like I said, I set money afire once.
The room cleaning staff will do the minimum and the next visitor is over-exposed to Ebola. I'll stay home.
