I wonder if a person in a state could set up a warehouse for people to ship to and pick up later?
Maryland just joined the ranks of taxing Amazon.com purchases. Its law went into effect on October 1st
“Amazon perceives itself as disadvantaged”
They did it to themselves by opening warehouses in so many states.
Yep, good old TENNESSEE is collecting the tax.
:-(
Same with Weird Al Frankenland.
No new law. A new Amazon.com distribution center where the GM assembly plant once was.
No shock that Taxachusetts collects it. Our legislature loooooves anything that feeds Leviathan. I hope to move one day before they start sacrificing actual taxpayers to it.
I just payed tax this morning at Amazon. At least I know it will be used to help poor people through groups like Community Action Of Minneapolis.
Amazon stopped folks from doing business through them because of the tax issue.
I know some folks who made their entire income via Amazon sales.
Not anymore
Still cheaper than wasting my time schlepping around to a bunch of “brick” stores. Easier on the gas and blood pressure, too.
I can find almost anything on Amazon and get it in a safe, timely manner.
Elected jackwagons who support this crap should be thrown out of office.

I haven’t yet placed an Amazon order since the new Maryland tax has been in effect.
When I do I know that it will be used to help Casa de Maryland, an organization that helps encourage illegal aliens in their invasion of Maryland as new voter reinforcements for the ‘RAT rulers.
I believe one is obligated to pay state sales tax on Amazon purchases no matter what state you’re in. Some are just more zealous at collecting.
And with our sales tax rate here in TN being nearly 10%, my purchases at Amazon after they began collecting it have dropped by 90%.
California started collecting last year..the only online retailer that does NOT charge sales tax in Cali is TigerDirect at least from what I have seen
Any on-line retailer, not just Amazon, with a physical presence in Florida is required to collect Florida sales taxes.
