A global pandemic is not a public relations' war against terrorists; it is a physical and biological certainty if potentially infected patients are allowed to cross borders without a second thought.
And just out of curiosity, where the hell is Congress with oversight? I realize Boehner and company have been in "election mode" since 2013, but there may not be ANY elections if an outbreak occurs.

His logic. Why buckle my seat belt? The crash is going to happen anyway. Why get vaccinated? Some are going to contract it anyway. What is the point of taking maximal precautions. This idiot Friedman is giving himself away by annotating he 'haters'. So, Mr. Friedman, open the doors of your home to the next proven ebola patient, with your children and with your wife. If you do not, Ebola 'wins'.
Tell me. How to the hell does a viral particle 'win' in a sociological event such as opening or closing the border? To deny hosts to ebola seems to be a winning strategy to the people who might have otherwise contacted the virus and then contracted the disease.
