I’m shocked at how ignorant my children’s teachers are, especially the young ones. Here in NJ the teachers make huge amounts of money, and coupled with their retirement packages they are bankrupting the taxpayers. No other job pays so much for so little results...
When I was in a state college twenty years ago a whole separate industry had grown where unqualified minorities would spend several semesters in remedial classes to bring them up to a point where they were on the level of white male entrants. They’d languish for a few semesters - earning no college credits - then drop out. K-12 education in this country is a disaster, especially if one is ‘educated’ in an urban district.
