This latter view is advanced, remarkably enough, by a theologian Martin Rhonheimer from a university endorsed by the Pope. He is a professor at the Pontifical Santa Croce University in Rome and wrote an essay on this particular distinction in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

I agree that peace is heretical to Islam. The comparison to the reformation, however,is just a cheap shot.

There is no more diametrically false statement on earth than “Islam is a religion of peace.” Their “prophet” was a mass-murderer and his followers are taught to ape him (and that they’ll be greatly rewarded by their “god” if they do).
Islam was spread by massive invasions attacks and slaughters as it took over dozens of other peoples’ lands ( and their women and children) by force of the sword. In today’s world, the majority of all the threats and violence against innocent people are committed by Moslems following their “ religion”. Nobody can possibly be so blind as to not see this. Anyone who says Islam is a ROP is deliberately lying to you , trying to soften you up for the slaughter . Beware!!

"Islam is peace" defines 'peace', not Islam.
