Former CIA director and SecDef Leon Panetta has been all over television the last couple of days, from the Today show to The O’Reilly Factor, flogging his new book Worthy Fights. He has been saying a lot of bad things about Obama and his administration — the weakness vis-a-vis ISIS and Islamic terrorism in general, the absurd pretense that al-Qaeda (and consequently Islamic extremism) had been defeated, the prevarications (polite term) about Benghazi, etc. — that many of us, to say the least, rather strongly suspected.
He has appeared extremely worried about the future of our country and the world, as he well should be. And all of this has been given extra gravitas because Mr. Panetta was very much an insider to nearly all the important foreign policy decisions until recently. He was there.
It’s good that we know all this, or some of it, now, but I must ask the obvious question that even Bill O’Reilly omitted — or felt it impolite to ask. Mr. Panetta, why didn’t you do something about it at the time? Yes, I know you made your pitch — as you say others did — and the president just couldn’t be moved. But if that was the case, why did you stay there?

I agree. He’s been a rabid vile Leftist for decades. Now he writes a tell-all (supposedly), to bring others to justice. Funny, when he was in the loop he wasn’t doing much singing. Nobody was.
Now when he can make a buck off of it, he opens up. My take is that he only opens up selectively though.
I haven’t read it, but from the excerpts I’ve seen touched on, it appears he has been rather kind to Mrs. Clinton.
If the book turned out as I suspect it has, it distances Clinton in preparation for her serious run for the presidency.
This sticks to vintage Clinton propaganda techniques.
Get information out there early, that either clears Mrs. Clinton totally, or presents her record so nicely that everyone will think she’s a good policy heavy-weight.
It’s actually fairly vintage Democrat propaganda as well.
They know their guy is a massive floater in the swimming pool vernacular. They have to distance from him to have any chance. Doing part of it now before the mid-term election, is a pretty standard way to go in this situation.
If he helps to rip off the mask from ‘the One” he is a Hero. He was and will always be a Clintonista he will do what he can to help his people. Sicking it to Obama—telling the truth-—is a heroic act that may cost him.

Panetta is a tool of the Democrat party. They use him often to lie their way, or fabricate their way out of problems they get themselves into being the criminal organization they actually are.
NO. He’s no hero. He’s the DNC troubleshooter. IF he’s not behind the scenes it means they are in deep doo doo, and he’s out in front in our faces fabricating some cover for a major screw up.
Obama IS that major screw up, and Hillary will benefit from the choreography Mr. Panetta overseas redirecting focus from bad boy Obama-Democrat to the Grandmotherly new hope that is Hillary-Democrat.
