I believe same-sex “marriage” can be stopped. Every time the issue has faced the voters, they have voted against it.

If I recall, voters in Maryland, Maine, Minnesota and Washington either failed to pass marriage amendments or actually accepted ‘gay marriage’ by popular referendum. Arizona failed to pass one in 2006 but then passed one a year or two later. Besides that the lowest results of popular votes on the issue were SD and CA both passing theirs by 52% 8+ years ago. The highest vote was Mississippi passing one by 86% in 2004.
