I watch his show quite regularly, I like him. I watched him on the 700 Club the other day. I think he`s a good man

There was a time that he made a point of having libs on his show, but he has not done that lately as much

Palin, Cruz know how to frame the culture debate.

If Palin and Cruz are the candidates, Huck isn't leaving. They are both firm on abortion and same-sex-marriage. He is warning what will happen, essentially, if they aren't the candidates.

The GOP longs to forget about the social issues (and the border) and just run on, what, cutting a couple of percent off the rate of increase in the deficit. They think that is going to rally America to their cause.

Why does Huckster not run for the House or the Senate?

The WH campaigns must pay better.

So many useful idiots for him.

I believe you nailed it...what fractures us the most is the party is desperately reaching for purity on 100% of all issues core to the principles of a conservative (aka Reagan). The only problem with seeking this strategy is people have not awaken from the fact that Reagan today I don’t believe would have gotten elected. The electorate has shifted greatly. Purists will continue along their path (I respect them greatly) however it will continue guarunteeing liberal wins for decades to come.

Its funny, I just read the article and no where does he say anything about running for office.

He just says he will leave the party if they abandon marriage.

He says if they do that, they’ll lose him and a lot of God-fearing people. And he is right. I’ll do the same. A lot of people have already done it.

The GOP has the chance to win a landslide victory at the polls next time out, but if they abandon their supposed principles and their base they will turn a victory into a historic debacle. Again.

That’s correct.

It’s true I have a whole host of problems with Huckabee. His record, his statements, and the wariness I have about his sometimes churlish character and lack of strong leadership qualities.

But, if the GOP continues down the exact same route it has these past ten or more years of cowardly running away from social issues, and not even willing to fight this insane homo-fascist agenda, and then nominate someone like Ryan, Christie, Paul, or frankly even Walker (who seems the latest to surrender), who will then all conduct a Romney-like campaign of ignoring social issues, there is NO QUESTION, I would vote for Huckabee. Even with all the qualms I have about him. I would rush to vote for him, and so would my family.

Anything to put the dagger in the skull of the GOP which has endlessly and continuously given up on representing the values I hold. Call it a protest vote, but I’ll do it in a heartbeat.

Huckabee can beat Shillary Clinton. If he runs he wins. He might not be the conservative purist like Cruz but he would win. Conservatives would back him. He’s a 10 year governor and is an ordained minister that believes in no abortion of any type. He would into Clinton’s black voters because blacks like ministers and they like Southern politicians. Lastly he would murder her in a debate.

No republican is more conservative than Huckabee on social issues. Not the first one. He’s 100% for real marriage and will never back down. He is 100% against abortion. Disagree with him on other issues, but on the social issues of the day he’s light-years ahead of anyone else that might run for president except Ted Cruz.

I’ll vote for the best candidate, let’s put it that way. I am a fan of none, because if I trust in man, then there’s a curse on me.

Of course, if any of the RINOs become the main opposition candidate, I’ll have a chorus here repeat the old “hold your nose and vote” song in my face.

Christian values are actions, not words. I ignore words until they are backed up by action—and by action I mean action versus posturing. I regard libertarians as liberals by another name, for the record.

All that I know is on this issue, he is right to speak out.

I am actually pleased to see someone saying this. I would

like to see others to do the same. People seem to want to leave out moral character from our leaders. Then, we get this corrupt government like we have now.

I just don’t like Huck. He is basically the caricature of the liberal media’s projection of a Republican. And I personally think he’s a big government Republican.

Perry, Cruz, Palin, et al, stand for the same traditional values - sans the preacher man image.

Huckabee can beat Shillary Clinton.

Huck would get crushed. The Dems War on Women would go on auto pilot.

Up here in NH they are turning pro abort RINO Scott Brown into Todd Akin. Imagine what they'd do with the man who gave us the real Todd Akin?

I guess Huckabee was "Fight{ing} Same-Sex Marriage" on his show this past weekend with Melissa Etheridge - the media's superstar of same-sex marriage.

The media has destroyed Palin, and will portray Perry as a tongue-tied idiot. He’s not, but they would use his debates from 2012 and play them over and over and over. Cruz can win if he runs. Huckabee can win if he runs. I’m telling you right now, blacks like him because he’s a preacher from the South they can identify with. He can win. I would absolutely love to hear him or Cruz destroy Clinton in a debate, on social issues and national defense.
