Good point thank you.
Frieden, then Fauci. Fauci said we need to keep open flights from the effected countries.
Not Frieden. Thanks for clarifying.
“Not Frieden. Thanks for clarifying.”
I listened to Frieden on Sunday. He was VERY serious.
Frieden has been spouting the same nonsensical rationale as Fauci about banning air travel from West Africa. They may be wording them slightly differently, but they’re essentially the same administration talking points.
Here’s Frieden in a press conference on Oct. 4:
“And finally, in terms of the entry process, we really need to be clear that we don’t inadvertently increase the risk to people in this country by making it harder for us to respond to the needs in those countries by making it hard for us to get assistance in and therefore those outbreaks would become worse, go on longer and paradoxically, something that we did to try to protect ourselves might actually increase our risk.”
Different wording, same sentiment. (Although Frieden’s stumbling, bumbling wording suggests the talking point might have been sticking in his craw. A hopeful sign?)
Let’s assume for a second that otherwise intelligent people—doctors, scientists—might actually believe such breathtaking illogic. No problem. We simply provide travel mode designated solely for ebola aid. Because that solution is so simple and obvious, the inescapable conclusion is that they’re pushing political propaganda and they know it.
