I wondered if that was the case.

Thank you for the mention.

That kid with the strawberry allergy is the type of kid that makes me wonder just how sensitive some of these kids actually are.

My brother had a peanut butter allergy, so I know it can be severe. It was always strange to me, because I practically lived on them growing up.

This is nothing more than the 'we know better than you do' pencil-necks who run the Sarasota schools shoving their liberal "sensibilities" down kid's throats.

The kids will hate it. And they will hate the 'authorities' who forced it on them. And those 'authorities' will deserve to be hated.

I see a big market for non-vegan contraband in the near future.

These stories remind me of the “days of fasting” in Germany towards the end of WWI; the population was starving due to the blockade, the limited food available was increasingly composed of filler, and the government would call for “days of fasting” to support the war effort.

Imagine a school’s lunch budget for the year, then eliminate 20% of the meat from it (if they even get meat five days a week); brilliant!

I doubt the costs of school lunches for the families will decrease, though...

Maybe someone should remind them tthat the only people going meatless on Mondays are the middle class who don’t get food stamps.

The students want healthy meatless trays.

The article stated that students wanted options of healthy meatless trays.

At any rate, I doubt this is politically motivated. Meat prices have gone through the roof and the schools are probably looking at ways they can save a few bucks. They won't say this is the reason though, not when there is a sanctimonious "saving the planet" bandwagon they can jump on.

Sanctimony and self-righteousness are the core of liberalism,

and these kids are steeped in it.

My child got a protein, whole grain, fruit, veggie, cookie and yes CHOCOLATE milk for lunch daily. Through high school! The kids eating the slop from the lunch line were drooling!

I used to eat three sandwiches plus other goodies and two school lunches in the ‘60’s, I couldn't get enough to eat.

I watched my Grand daughter eat a half a chicken, potatoes, yams and dressing and gravy plus desert and she is only eleven and a bone. I don't know what these people are thinking.

You and gd are consuming more than your “fair share” of food growns and processed with evil carbon spewing machinery.

The Grand Calipha rules you as guilty!

I've had more than a few run ins with Beverly Girard. She is the ultimate statist who runs her department like the dictator she is. If you ever see her, you'll immediately know that she's never met a calorie she didn't like....or consume. Typical far left food Nazi — dictate to others what they must eat, in the name of “health”, while she tips the scales at 300 lbs.

He was a bit of a stick-in-the-mud; I haven’t seen him since he left abruptly in November of 18.

He just couldn’t stop touching that moustache...
