I was going by this:
SURVIVAL OUTSIDE HOST: The virus can survive in liquid or dried material for a number of days. Infectivity is found to be stable at room temperature or at 4°C for several days, and indefinitely stable at -70°C (6, 20). Infectivity can be preserved by lyophilisation.

the colder it is the longer the virus stays alive?
We don’t get to many -70 degree Celsius days around here (That’s -94 f by the way)
Go ahead and tell yourself that you’re correct but I’m going to be glad for the cold weather which will severely restrict the spread of the tropical disease.
I’ve read the same thing. Cold preserves the virus indefinitely.
