Richmond clinic evaluating whether patient is at risk of Ebola
Richmond Times Dispatch ^ | Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 | Tammie Smith

A local clinic and state officials are evaluating whether a patient who had recently traveled to West Africa and appeared at clinic offices in South Richmond Monday is at risk of Ebola infection.

“We immediately put the person in isolation and immediately called the health department,” said Julie Bilodeau of CrossOver Ministry, a faith-based free clinic whose patient population includes many immigrants.

A sign posted on the clinic's front door Monday afternoon read: "Clinic closed for emergency.”

It was not immediately clear what precautions clinic workers took in handling the patient.

Don’t worry. You can sit next to an ebola patient on a bus. Dear Leader told us so.

My neighbors have stopped allowing their kids to play outside, since we live in a multi-cultural neighborhood with families from many countries including African. I’ll bet the Administration would find that incredibly funny.

This is a fun game, isn't it?

I can think of a way to stop it. Unfortunately, it runs afoul of Obola's plan to hold on to the Senate.

Looks like they had their A game to deal. Even shutting down the place ASAP. No messing around.

Someone needs to do a website with these reports and outcomes.

Best as I know, we’ve still got a Liberian woman in the Kenosha County jail here in Wisconsin, but no word on her since last week.

The question is where “patient 2” in the US will show up.

That appears to be the case. My impression is that Crossover clinic is pretty well run and does a good job taking care of people who have no other option for health care.

The bad thing is those patients now have nowhere to go.

The ripple effect of BO’s legacy.

Great idea. I wonder if it’s out there already. I’ll have to do some digging.

Hopefully the search for possible contacts has begun. Richmond needs to act fast and get a complete list of possible exposures.

Me too. I brought up telecommuting in my evaluation today. I had no idea at the time that this had happened.

My hope is VDH has learned from all the missteps in Dallas and will be better prepared to deal.

Report of someone presenting with ebola symptoms at an Ocala, FL hospital. Blood drawn and sent home was story I got from someone that was present.

Geez, what’s with these people going to clinics instead of the biggest hospital in the area. And call first to give them a heads up.

I think she has been cleared and is already gone from there.
