The Texan nurse diagnosed with Ebola has received a blood transfusion from survivor Dr Kent Brantly, reports claim. It is the third time Dr Brantly has donated blood to Ebola victims after medics discovered he had the same blood type as previous patient Dr Nick Sacra and NBC cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, who is still being treated.
Incredibly, nurse Nina Pham, 26, has also matched with Brantly and today received a transfusion of his blood in a move that doctors believe could save her .
Pham has been in quarantine since Friday after catching the disease from 'patient zero' Thomas Eric Duncan - the man who brought the deadly virus to America.
Brantly is believed to have traveled to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, where Pham worked, to make the donation on Sunday night. Today, Pham's condition was described as 'clinically stable'.

There are links, I have to go dig them up.
Isn’t it.... O+ can donate to anybody? Wouldn’t it be a miracle if Brantly is 0+? This guy deserves a Nobel, a yacht, an Island, and Scarlett Johannsen if he’s single.
Not completely universal according to JJ
I hope she recovers. God bless Dr. Brantley.
You should have read the venom and hatred against Brantly only weeks ago, on the Ebola threads.
The word “evil” was even used in regards to the Christian missionary doctor.
Just wait until Duncan’s family find out. Now they will say why wasn’t Thomas given a transfusion yet all these white crackers were given blood.
This is just so horrible.
Actually the universal donor is O neg. But O positive is close, only 15% or so of the population is rH neg, and it doesn’t matter so much in men, only in women of childbearing age.
It would certainly blow their “tried and true” theory out of the water......there are other possibilities:
1) she carried the contamination on her body, clothes, purse etc. home to him basically exposing both of them at the same time
2) they contracted the virus together from another source other than Duncan
3) the CDC us wrong about being contagious only upon the onset of symptoms
Treatment of Ebola in the US is racist. A white doctor is helping to save a Vietnamese woman’s life. That’s clearly racist. /Jackson /Sharpton /Holder /Obama /et al
It’s a little strange...
I read somewhere that Duncan was the wrong blood type.
One wonders how a poor disease ridden Liberian came up with the money to fly to the US....
Likely #1. Hopefully.
I hope the blood works for her..
Not sure but I believe the virus can be sexually transmitted. Maybe that was the route.
It’s been said incubation can be as few as 2 or 3 days.
But, I won’t put stock in that story until I see a reference.
I guess Brantly is A+, then...?
