Imagine yourself, on the ground, with a huge man on top of you who is pounding your face with MMA-Trained fists, and you have a loaded gun on your person.
Now, imagine this same brutal person struggling with you for your gun.
What would YOU do?
Now, imagine that huge person pummeling you or running at you with intent to harm
as a metaphor for a government being used to impose the racism of those currently in power on “you”, the people.

If I liked the president and he was white I’d just lay there and take it. Of course, if I did not like the president and he is black I’d defend myself. Isn’t that what the author says?
