In my youth, I would have considered having to watch Hee-Haw a form of torture, along with Lawrence Welk. Led Zepplin was “the sound” back then.

I was never a Hee-Haw fan in my youth either.

Strangely though I find a comforting nostalgia now watching the reruns on RFD-TV.

“You’ll never hear one of us repeating gossip, so you’d better be sure and listen close the first time!” LOL!

At the time, the Hee Haw girls were the sexiest woman on TV.

When I go visit my parents I am subjected to Molly B’s Polka on Saturday evenings.

I like polka music because it reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would blast polka music while baking every other Sunday. Just hearing it makes my mouth water thinking of the smell of fresh-baked rolls!

Hee Haw was torture to me as well. In DVD, it is mostly good watching. I bet production people genuinely loved going to work at that studio. I am sure I would have.

Hee-Haw had a lot of legitimately funny stuff along with the cornball humor. And they frequently had top musicians not the least being Roy Clark.
