She called the CDC several times and each time they assured her it was fine because her temperature was not out of the normal range. What was she supposed to do? Hire her own plane to take her straight to Atlanta?
Sorry, but this is all at the feet of the CDC, which has been too busy worrying about gun control (while the WHO has been worrying about caffeine energy drinks and tobacco!) to get serious about disease. If this disease hadn’t started in Africa - thereby becoming something politically sacred that we should actually all want to get - maybe the response would have been better, but I doubt it.
The nurses seem to have followed the protocols, but they were completely inadequate, and follow-up has been completely inadequate. I was blaming the hospital at first, but it seems that they in turn were simply doing what they were told to do by the supposed experts, whose whole job is to minimize and hide this disease so it can’t cause any political damage to Obama.
I hear you, but the fact that she took her temperature indicates that she thought something was wrong with her. Add the fact that she had treated an Ebola patient, and the CDC should have immediately quarantined her. Sorry, but you’ve got to stop this in its tracks.
It was just reported that she's going to Maryland. The Odumbo administration wants to make sure that there is no part of the country untouched.
She’s going to NIH, which has a Biolevel 4 containment isolation room. She will have access to experimental drugs there, and possibly a dose of ZMAPP.
Thanks for that info.
