Then why does even the criminally incompetent CDC advise against “close contact”, which they define as being within 3 feet?. There is something about the current strain that is more severe than historicals. Just consider how many medical workers were infected and killed in Africa, compare to prior outbreaks. It might be that it’s communicable prior to symptoms appearing, or more transmissible via aerosol, or more dangerous on unbroken skin.

Time is rapidly running out. Most people haven’t even figured out a plan, what they’d need, and what their response is going to be to increasingly more local infection reports (each of which will have started 21 days earlier).

One uncontrolled case is a serious matter. Two more as re-transmissions, involving health care professionals, following fatally flawed CDC protocols, is a disaster.
The slow 21-day incubation period will keep the complacent complacent.
Everything Obama and the CDC said would not happen, has been happening, just like the pessimists predicted.
Where I am at no one is talking about it. Not talking about Ferguson either. We have more cattle than people out here. Does anyone know whether animals are carriers or not?
All the people who think some of us are overreacting fail to take into accout that it’s very early in the game.
The next week or two should make things clearer to all.
