I agree, which is why I think that a path-to-citizenship should contain the same requirements that legal immigration does, except allow them to go through it while they are here. If they can't or won't meet those requirements, show them the door.

There is a path to citizenship, they didn’t follow it. Deport them. No if’s, and’s, or but’s, just deport them. And prison for any employer who knowingly employes illegals.
