So now we land in Basra and have to travel a long distance to where the enemy lies in waiting? Retaking Baghdad from ISIS will not be like conquering the city when Saddam Hussein was in charge.
ISIS fighters have proved to be more ferocious than the American-trained Iraqi army. The battle for Baghdad will be a huge bloodletting. American people will protest because of loss of American lives.
