Federal health officials will begin tracking passengers who were on the plane Ebola-infected nurse Amber Vinson took from Dallas to Ohio on Oct. 10 — a date when she supposedly did not have symptoms and was not contagious. "We can't rule out that she might have had the start of her illness on Friday," Dr. Chris Braden of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said at a Thursday afternoon briefing, citing new information developed by investigators tracing all of Vinson's contacts. "This new information is saying we need to go back now to the flight she took on Friday the 10th and include them in our investigation of contacts."

Unbelievable.
The behavior of the CDC in this matter (the plane) is disgraceful.
They know very well no one on those flights is at risk. They also know they are allowing infected West Africans free movement in the U.S.
But, to show that they are “doing something”, they are terrifying people who are perfectly safe and allowing infected immigrants to spread the disease.
Shame, shame, shame!

The hospitals put the nurses on administrative leave for 21 days. The only ones with potentially any brains and they did it out of an abundance of caution...before the CDC came out with the statement she was contagious at that time.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
