Dogs don’t get sick from it - they just carry it. They’re like fruit bats and certain other mammals, which are full of the virus and can communicate it but are unaffected by it.

I assume they plan on testing this dog for the presence of the virus in its system. In one outbreak in Zaire, I believe it was, a few years ago, 100% of the dogs tested positive for ebola.

I thought the dog was already tested. There are blood tests that can be done on dogs for this disease.

What was upsetting about the dog in Spain was that it was euthanized without any bloodwork.
