The way I read that statement is he doesn’t have a philosophical objection.
The unspoken meaning IMO is he DOES have some kind of objection-he is just not revealing what that objection is...
Usually when he emphatically says one thing, he means or does the exact opposite.
When he says he doesn't have a philosophical objection, maybe he has many philosophical objections. Technically, a true statement.
