Cause of death was once part of the public record.

Anyone could look it up and see what a person died of...

I'm not sure but I believe the laws were changed during the AIDS crisis. Which means that people who die of Ebola might fall below the radar...

It's odd that we only hear about 'health care workers who dealt with Duncan - but NOT about all the people those people interacted with.

Maybe someone from the Washington Post or LA Times could look into statistical anomalies in Dallas deaths...

I am not sure if it will be, other than perhaps a Federal Statistic. There is still waaay too much touchy-feely going on out there over someone feeling 'stigma' over having been in contact with someone who died of Ebola, and I am pretty sure the fact could be hidden behind HIPAA if nothing else.
