Having lived through this with you, I was just as stumped and just as mad.
Worse, the GOP managed to destroy our GOTV efforts as activists sat home because we didn’t have party support as the leadership rolled over and played dead. And I mean all the way up to Bush, Rove and others who should have defended our side and the truth.
On a local level, we worked our butts off trying to get people to vote and overcome the depression created by the media and Democrats harping over supposed GOP failures.
My point is if the WMDs were being used against U.S. troops, we should have come down with both feet on the heads of the Iraqis until it stopped.
In WWII, when U.S. forces upon entering a German village encountered sniper fire, the Burgermeister would be brought out and asked to point out the location of the shooter. If he did not, a tank fired a shell into a random building, demolishing it. The Burgermeister would be asked again where the sniper was. I understand they never had to destroy more than one building.

I asked him 6 mos ago why not show some passion and give the troops a reason to support him. He said he didn’t want to get them fired up too soon. Guess he is waiting til next month.
Good luck with that. The blogs will almost have to stand in line there are so many scandals to cover. Not enough bandwith to cover them all.
