If I Were Gay, I’d Oppose Houston’s Old Lesbian Mayor
Associated Press Townhall.com ^ | October 19, 2014 | Doug Giles

Posted on 10/19/2014 5:20:52 AM PDT by Kaslin

I’m not gay. I get called gay all the time by Leftists who seek to disparage me when they’ve run out of their specious, illogical arguments and the full weight of common sense lands on their fetid heads and they have no other recourse but to go ad hominem on me and say, “he must be gay.” Which, like I said, I take they equate with a cut down; which is weird because, supposedly, they’re the homosexual’s champion.

For what it’s worth, the only gay thing about me is, and I must confess, I did tear up a bit during American Idol when Rion Paige sang Blown Away. But that’s the extent of it. Well, not really. For full disclosure, I felt exceedingly gay, in the classic sense of the word, when I shot a brown bear that squared ten-feet, in Prince William Sound, back in 2010, with my Mauser ’98 chambered for the vicious .375H&H Magnum. Boom. (Here’s the video if you’d like to check it out.)

That said, if I were gay I wouldn’t give a flip if pastors spoke against my particular penchant -- like Houston’s old lesbian mayor has been doing – because I cherish this thing called “liberty”. Yep, as a hypothetical gay dude I would still embrace freedom of speech and not get my neckerchief in a wad because some Southern Baptist doesn’t like my checking Jethro’s oil.

Indeed, as an imaginary gay man I’d still embrace the First Amendment and would fight my gay backside off for others' right to say and do whatever, just as long as I didn’t have to pay for it and I could ridicule the crap out of it.

Which brings me to this point: I don’t like fascists, straight or gay. Which means I don’t like Houston’s old lesbian mayor. I think she’s un-American. I think she’s a bull-dyke who wants to foist her weltanschauung on Texans.

Hey, lady … if you didn’t know this it’s the pastor’s job to teach the Bible and it’s also their right. And, by the way, it was a Judeo-Christian worldview that framed this amazing nation that you’re currently whizzing on by trying to mitigate several pastors’ freedom of speech.

Dear Ms. Mayor, just like it’s your right to quote Madonna, make fun of Baptists, dress like Chris Farley, sound like Borat’s sister, binge on golf shirts and cut your hair like Huey Lewis, it is also the pastor’s right to say that God thinks you’re a bubble-off-level. Suck it up.

I don’t know about you, folks, but I like a world where such freedom exists because, as Mark Twain put it, “it’s the difference of opinion that makes a horse-race.” All of us should cherish and protect such liberty because it's this freedom that sets us apart from such clowns as ISIS. Speaking of Islam, if Houston’s old lesbian mayor wants to get pissy, she should focus her radical-feminist-lesbian rage at Islam because, unlike the Christians who graciously would like to convert her, Islam, on the other hand, would like to kill her.

It’s because they have a delusional world view that is impenetrable. Nothing can shake their delusion. No fact, common sense, first hand experience, or person will change their mind. If they lived in IRAQ/SYRIA they would likely be in ISIS, murdering, killing, and raping the same sex across the desert. It’s all about the rebellion to these people. As long as they get to do what they know is wrong, nothing will change their minds.

I am convinced that if all the liberals were forced to live through what 95% of the rest of the world goes through on a daily basis, they would still come back LIBERAL. Spouting how good ISIS/HAMAS/AFRICA/MALAYSIA/INDIA/NORTH KOREA/ETC, are. Every time throughout history people like these gain power, trouble always follows. World wars, diseases, civil wars, revolutions, death.

Anytime a liberal spouts off about how bad they have it, that we need more, I think are you insane?! Be grateful you aren’t in a different country, you’d be wishing you had a quarter of what you have now. They seek to ruin it all for everyone.

You know, 70 years ago people like this mayor would be in a mental institution. Likely most of Congress too.

America today is a prime example of mental illness run rampant.

That is very salient. Today’s wicked are yesterday’s wacky. They got wicked by legitimizing their wackiness.

Liberals are a great balance to conservatives in power. They squeal and pinch and bite and slander, causing conservatives to mind their manners.
When liberals are in power, however, they continue to squeal and pinch and bite and slander and write laws against anyone they dislike, especially conservatives.
Liberals make great critics but lousy leaders.

“Today’s wicked are yesterday’s wacky.”

Money quote of the day! Meanwhile, the tubby tinpot in Dallas is bemoaning her newfound infamy. As a victim, of course.

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning, I wonder what words of wisdom shall be thundering from Houston pulpits?

BTW, .375 H&H Magnum is the all-around cartridge for dangerous African game. Not usual for North America, but with bear one can’t be too careful. Weidmannsheil, Doug!

I find it hilarious that I get called "gay" by leftists who hate me and my conservative points of view. like Mr. Giles said, leftists are the homosexual's heroes.

I'd never mock a leftist by calling him a "Patriot".

we’ve all forgotten about the woman head of the VA cemetery near Houston who demanded to see all graveside funeral orations before burial ceremonies could take place; said no mention of God or Jesus Christ would be allowed.

Stopped a funeral procession on entry -— that’s called ‘ambushing’ -— with said demand. they had to get a lawyer. Stopped this attempt. But then she went and did it again.

An Obama appointee from Chicago.

First of all there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being gay and, as far as that goes, there’s nothing wrong with being homosexual either.

What IS wrong is caving in to politically correctism by redefining the meaning of words.

But what do I know, I’m a 76 year old man who clings to the notion that words have a specific meaning.

God will shake them. In His perfect timing.

“there’s nothing wrong with being homosexual either.”

God says there is something wrong with it:

You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. - Leviticus 18:22

If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a destestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them. - Leviticus 20:13

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural (Lit., against nature), and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. - Romans 1:26-27

I wish I had thought twice before I stated that in that way and I totally agree, and thank you for, your rebuttal and reminder.

I think Doug would favor this line of attack, if he were homosexual. He would have two main concerns in life: the satisfaction of his genital urge, and the elimination of all negative opinions regarding his sexual activity.

The latter concern is the motivation for Houston’s “rights” law. The ministers who have been subpoenaed are being persecuted for objecting to this law.
