"Officials said the woman poses no risk because she has shown no signs of illness for 19 days and has voluntarily self-quarantined on the cruise ship."

----------------------------->

When did the 19 days begin? She got on a cruise ship knowing there was a possibility that may have been exposed to Ebola or even contracted it herself?

Please FReepers, what am I missing here?

It doesn't say - in that Yahoo article - however, she was likely permitted to get herself back home to continue self-monitoring. My guess, and this is only my guess, is that the CDC was caught in their incompetence again when Vinson (second Ebola nurse) was given permission to fly BACK to Dallas with a fever. The public's outrage forced the CDC to locate every HCW employed at the hospital where Duncan (patient zero) died and placed each on a restricted travel ban. They found this cruise passenger out at sea and attempted to quietly remove her but even that attempt blew up in CDC's face when Belize at first refused entry to her for a simple access through their airport to a private flight (arranged by Kerry) and then refused the ship to dock at port...which hit the news.

I hope Carnival Cruise Lines sues the crap out of this government for the damage they have imposed on this cruise line's fragile reputation. As a matter of fact, I hope all the cruise lines formulate a class action against this incompetent government since this fiasco is impacting all recreational sea-travel venues.
