Senegal beat Ebola by isolating the infected person, and putting armed troops on it’s border with Ebola Infected countries, with orders to SHOOT anyone trying to cross the border.
People I have known who traveled to and from West Africa always had to make an intermediate stop in Senegal. It’s a logical place for trans-Atlantic flights to land. So with the call to ban travel from other west-African countries, it seems that Senegal would have a major role in implementing this. Also I wonder if the Thomas Eric Duncan went though Senegal. If so, they weren’t shooting people on planes from Liberia.
