Thank you for the link, as it does add a few facts to the conversation.

According to that statement, he was admitted Sunday, October 12th. Over a week ago. It also states that he was an admin person, so it's likely but not certain that his last day at Alcon was Friday, October 10th. Admin people don't usually work weekends.

The wording of the statement reads that he "did not exhibit any symptoms of the Ebola virus." That could mean several things. That he that he seemed completely healthy, or it could be carefully worded to mean that he wasn't well but didn't show symptoms of the "Ebola virus" per se. Or it could simply mean that the Alcon management was told by a third party that he wasn't symptomatic, so they're running with that.

The same careful wording, nearly identical, is used in the email.

The question remains: What is the boyfriend's status?

On further reflection, it doesn't seem that the boyfriend could have been symptomatic on the 10th, if that was his last day at work. Nina Pham was admitted on Saturday the 11th. From everything we're learning about Ebola, unless something else is at play, he shouldn't have been showing signs yet.

If (and I repeat *if*) his last day of work was the 10th, and if he wasn't visibly symptomatic on that day, that would mean that either Alcon was imparting that they didn't notice symptoms while he was at work on the 10th, or someone else told them he wasn't symptomatic when he was admitted on the 12th.

Or it could mean that they simply took a leap of logic and deduced that because he wasn't symptomatic on the 10th, that he still wasn't symptomatic on the 12th, the day he was admitted.

Am I making any sense?
