Bingo! Use their argument against them. If you work and pay taxes, you vote.
they will those folks do pay taxes, they just get more benefits than taxes.

its a good thought but i think it needs one more tweak.
you need to be able to let adults who are retired be able to vote. lots of people of all ages are retired for different reasons, largely because of age, but some because they’re well off, some for genuine disability. they still pay taxes on a number of things, but may not have job income.
