If there are enough of these Ebola scares, the cost is going to make these cities begin to demand restriction on travel from the outbreak area.
Ron Klain is gonna deep six further news on this Ebola dude
Yes, good point. Who is going to pay for these exorbitant costs of dealing with Ebola infected or suspected patients? You would think people would realize the hospitals are going to have to cover these costs, and that will be in the form of raising prices on other services.
If all the passengers are having to wait on the plane, awaiting test results, word will get out fast and the flying public will just stop.
Seems like the right steps were taken.

Yes, and the ambulance districts, police/port authority, hazmat suits, airplane cleaning etc etc.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Make the airlines liable and responsible for screening passengers - they will find a way to stop importing the disease.
I assume it is that or some other scheme.
I have a feeling all bad news about Ebola is going to be quarantined from now on.
