Don't know if it's FBI, but whoever is doing it, it's a damn good thing. If it weren't for the earlier leaks, Michael Brown's criminal activities that night would've been kept secret. By pre-empting the release, it means the facts won't be skewed.

I'll say it again. if there are any charges AT ALL against Ferguson police, they should walk off the job. Let the fine citizens of Ferguson and their guests police themselves.

If there’s an existing perception that the cop is innocent, there’ll be a political backlash by non-Blacks to any violence or political exploitation by the Black community and leadership.

I think there's already political backlash by non-Blacks. I haven't seen anyone who used to say, "Black people can't be racist" come right out and admit, "Okay, I was wrong," but I'm pretty sure some of them have figured it out, even if they won't admit it. Whether this realization will stick over time, I dunno.

When black people are fine with being filmed while screaming racial epitaphs and spitting on cops, they're essentially undercutting the whole "white cops racist/black people terrified of them" meme. If they truly believed the cops were evil and corrupt and could frame them at any time, they wouldn't be giving them so much ammunition. They are acting like people who know they can get away with it.
