The hero sergeant-at-arms who killed the alleged shooter in Wednesday's attack on the Canadian Parliament was welcomed back into the building this morning with a prolonged standing ovation.

Kevin Vickers, 58, nodded to acknowledge the spontaneous applause that washed over him by the officials in the chamber, which included Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The Canadians aren’t calling it Islamic terrorism - only terrorism.

You will never hear those two words together in a sentence from a western politician ever again.

Just to be fair, shouldn’t it have been reported that he allegedly killed the alleged gunman?

>>"But in the case of Ferguson Missouri, we are told that the cop actually but not allegedly killed Michael Brown?"

You forgot "innocent surrendering unarmed teenager" per USCP adjectives requirements.

Compare the police response in Ottawa to that of the Newtown elementary school, I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.

I noticed the police in the Parliament building hallway running TOWARD the gunfire, not away from it.

Exactly! And no CPR/first aid on any “wounded”.

In the eyes of the Obama administration, he would be under investigation for improper use of lethal force.

This was a mohamicidal attack!

In Newtowns defense it was a false flag drill and CPR was part of the scenario.Just how many false flags have to be thrown before we stop blindly accepting "The Video" as TRUTH?

Reports of a Glock 19, but it doesn’t really look like one.

I wonder how ordinary citizens have Glocks for personal protection.

I want to know what it was. Maybe some company can sign him to an advertisement contract. A really nice retirement plus the chance to stick his thumb in the eye of some folks.

"NRA bumper stickers"

I would bet those cars get special attention from the Canadian authorities. I wouldn't put any weed decals on my vehicle either.

“Can the ordinary citizens of Canada own a hand gun?”

Yes, with a fair bit of difficulty. Very few civilians are authorized to carry one for self defence however, but some are.

Know how you felt.

Back when the FLQ were bonbing mailboxes I was returning some paintings from a gallery exhibition to a friend in Toronto. Weather was great and my buddy wanted to drive his Austin Healy up.

First problem, the wrapped paintings in the jump seat, no official documenation of their first crossing. Luckily I had the artists letter postmarked Toronto.

Then the Canadians peeked into the trunk, oops, please follow the officer to the office. We were locked in. Looking out the window we saw them emptying the trunk. My buddy was an arch student and had his project model in the car. After the dogs were brought in one of the officers brought in some bricks of generic modeling clay with plain waxed wrappers. Questioned for another hour until he was satisfied we held no animosity towards the Canadian Mail System, were indifferent to Free Quebec issues, spoke no French, and that modeling clay was just that and not some previously unknown type of explosive.

Almost four hours at the border.

I lied about not speaking any French, hope the statute of limitations worked in my behalf.

Can I ask a stupid question?

Why is it said that he killed the “alleged” gunman?

Why did the guy in Oklahoma “allegedly” cut off the head of that poor woman?

But in the case of Ferguson Missouri, we are told that the cop actually but not allegedly killed Michael Brown?

Excellent question Dilbert... anyone know the answer?
