Strange Brew

One of my favorites. Couldn't believe that was Clapton with that hair until he started shredding a solo. Then there was no doubt.

Can't think about Jack Bruce and not think of West, Bruce & Laing though. Here he is playing piano on Theme For An Imaginary Western as a dedication to Felix Pappalardi. What a voice!

Earlier version w/Leslie West and Jack Bruce on bass.

Odd but I did a Jack Bruce youtube session lately of some number of hours. I haven’t done one like that on anyone in music for months. Highly suggest this as its recent enough and shows what a consummate professional this man was. Have to agree with the commenter that Moore sounds more like Clapton than Clapton does these days.

I was a huge fan from the start of Cream to some time later. Only time I saw him was with Golden Palominos in Boston 1984 to finally hear that exquisite voice.

1971 I went out west to chase a girl and took a portable suitcase record player and three albums, one being Harmony Row. Played the grooves out of it. One other was Who’s Next but can’t remember the last of the three...but it was this fabulous record that I played all the time.

I’ve read he lived in Tel Aviv and sure wonder what he was doing there besides keeping his voice...death by liver disease tells you something though.
