I’d take a 90% conservative. It is the backstabbing 40-60% who would rather trust their “dear friends across the ailse” than conservatives. In your universe, there would be no Ted Cruz, or Mark Lee becasue they challenged GOPe candidates.

How condescending! That makes no sense!

Cruz, Lee et al ran in PRIMARIES. That's the place to beat the GOPe--NOT the general election. THAT election elects EITHER GOP or Democrat. No one else has a snowball's chance in Hell.

I'm sorry you cannot see reality when it's there staring you in the face.

Now, do I agree with you that RINO's (spit) infest the Republican party? I do.

Do I agree that they need to be VIGOROUSLY challenged by conservatives in the Primary? Absolutely.

However, let's look at the facts. In the Kentucky Republican primary of 2014, only 26%-that's TWENTY-SIX percent of the registers voters voted in Kentucky in the primary--including all democrat and Republican races. McConnell beat Bevins by 213,000 to 185,000 votes.

WHERE oh WHERE were the conservative/TEA party votes? You mean to tell me that more couldn't have got off their fat, lazy keyboard-typing asses and actually vote? Seriously?

And let me add, wherever a conservative ran against a RINO in the various 2014 primaries the overwhelming results were as bad--low percentages of registered voters voted. In other words, there was no significant number of conservatives voting against their local RINOs. Even in the heavily contested runoff election (not the earlier primary, but the much more publicized runoff of 24 June) in Mississippi between McDaniel and Cochran, ony 50 % of eligible voters voted. In other words, HALF stayed home!!!

I'd really like to know why.

Those who NOW state we have to let the RINOs who beat the conservative back in the primary--even though we didn't bother to vote back THEN--LOSE, because, hey, they're RINOs, lesser of two evils being evil, yada, yada, yada... Cannot explain why we lose the primaries almost every time.

Not all the time--and that's why we do have LEADERS like Cruz and Lee (and don't forget my favorite home Senator, Jeff Sessions, who is running UNOPPOSED).

I really don't understand your philosophy of NOW not voting; I really don't.

In my opinion, conservatives blew it across the fruited plain in the primaries. That such a hotly contested race as McConnell's, or Turtle Man as I call him, had only 26% of registered voters voting, backs me up.

We've just got to get this fixed somehow. We are either a true minority who cannot win, which I do not believe, or we are not walking over broken glass to vote conservative in the primaries. As Bray says, I pray America wakes up!
