LOL! Funny thing is that they actually say to ignore the facts in the guide regardless of the eventual revelation of the “more” facts. Amazing no?
Well unless you go to armslist.com and proceed with a private sale. But the seller always has the option to run the sale through an FFL if he/she wants to. Same goes for newspaper ads or ThriftyNickel ads when doing private party sales. Although some places won’t even carry firearms sales ads.
Oregon is a very gun friendly state. It is shall issue for ccw (which technically is unconstitutional). The only place you can not carry are federal buoldings and the courthouses. It is better for gun ownership than Texas.
And there is no wave of gun violence in Oregon. These antigun nuts pop up every election.
Sure, but you can’t ship them. So if it isn’t a hand-to-hand transfer (aka purely private sale) it doesn’t happen. Making contact with someone via email is only an “online sale” by the worst stretching of the term. And, as you state, ebay and Craigslist don’t take firearms ads at all.
Lots of fish wrappers refuse them now too. I’ve looked at armslist but am a little uncomfortable with it for some reason. Paranoia I guess. LOL! I have done some online FFL buys and the arms do indeed have to go to an FFL at my locale in order for me to take possession.
Very interesting.
Thanks for your feedback.
