The gun control crowd has tried every single argument they can and has found out that people are too smart for their pass this silver bullet law and it will all be better (large magazines, assault weapons ban, longer waiting periods, gun registration, close the gun show loop hole that isn't there...etc.) arguments.
Now it is we need to to lots of laws and hopefully each will make things a little better, although it may take generations to reduce the number of firearms and hence reduce the firearms available to criminals.
It is a logic that seems to be working in WA State just to the north in the marketing of an 18+page initiative that will create chaos for people who own firearms and want to remain legal.
