A 5-year-old boy who just returned from West Africa was transported to Bellevue Hospital Sunday with possible Ebola symptoms, according to law-enforcement sources.

The child was vomiting and had a 103-degree fever when he was carried from his Bronx home by EMS workers wearing hazmat suits, neighbors said.

The major increase of the outbreak in Africa started with a child ... I hope and pray this will not be the case in the USA

Most children were and still are cared for by relatives, friends, neighbors who caught and spread the disease. If they had hazmat suited people picking up victims in Africa and taking them to decent treatment centers we would not be talking about an epidemic there.

Anyone think it might be unwise to take a 5 year old into an Ebola hot zone?

Need to stay in place isolate these cases!

The less travel the viri get the better!

Why drag a virus spewing victim to a place where there are hundreds of people too sick to flee?

Need to tape and quarantine the houses off, and put up watch on the neighbors for possible further quarantine.

Send in properly protected care workers to bring meals, medicine, body bags, and bleach.

It's a good thing there isn't any travel ban between the US and ewst Africa, otherwise he would have been unable to bring the virus back with him. And keeping the virus out of the USA just wouldn't be fair. Aftera all it's mostly balcks who have it now and you want an equal quantity of whites to get it (or at least the democrats do.)

It isn't. BUT Stupidity and arrogance (I can do what I want without consequences) go hand in hand, particulary in democrats.

How incredibly sad that any child would endure a disease they couldn't possibly understand.

As for his parents...WTH were they thinking traveling to the hot zone during an epidemic? It is because of incredibly foolish and ignorant behavior that this child was exposed and now potentially exposed untold numbers to here in this country. Our own government should be held accountable because it REFUSES to shut down unwarranted travel to and from the hot zone.

Well, I just have to ask the question that the media seems incapable of asking.....How does a 5-year old boy contract Ebola?

Was he treating Ebola patients without his HazMat suit?

Did he have a Monkey-Meat hot dog with his glass of milk?

Surely if actual medical staff are splattered with infected "liquids" during the course of their work, you'd have a tendency to notice a particular incident as a probable cause. Unless, of course, they are constantly being splattered, and come out of the ward looking like a Jackson Pollack painting.

The more cases I see that are "unexplained", and all of them seem to be, the more I can't help thinking that this virus is more stealthy and "active" than they are telling us. Apologies for not using the "A" word.....oh, wait, I just did.

Upstate NY: We had a small pox case here c. 1865. The people never left their home. I think out of 12, only one died. The neighbors left food on the porch. It was all about quarantine.

In the city, when they had a cholera epidemic...they bleached the hell out of the community...even burnt places down IIRC.

>The boy returned with his family from Guinea Saturday night and five members of the family were being quarantined inside their apartment, sources said.

The entire family is stuck on stupid. Let me guess...the family went to Guinea to attend a family funeral for an Ebola victim and helped wash the body.

“They” are not telling us much more than how active the virus is.

I don’t trust the government at all.

Are there more infected and are being hidden?

Are the known American cases really infected with Ebola?
(Nina Pham looked incredibly healthy for someone who just recovered from a deadly virus)

Bottom line is....What are they not telling us? Or What are they telling us that is not true?

Liars lie.
