As many as 20 to 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees released within the last two to three years are suspected by intelligence and Defense officials of having joined forces with the Islamic State and other militant groups inside Syria, Fox News has learned.
The development has cemented fears that the U.S. military would once again encounter militants taken off the battlefield.
The intelligence offers a mixed picture, and officials say the figures are not exact. But they are certain at least some of the released detainees are fighting with the Islamic State, or ISIS, on the ground inside Syria. Others are believed to be supporting Al Qaeda or the affiliated al-Nusra Front in Syria.

illegals stealing from Americans
GITMO prisoners that obama released killing/raping others and what a threat they represent
I am simply astonished that the GOP always stands mute in the face of outrages such as this. Eight years of Bush/Rove standing mute against the relentless onslaught of false accusations. Then the constant assault of Obama and... nothing.
Simply unbelievable.
Whether they join or not, they are certainly no friends of ours, and should be kept locked up.
That would be a winning strategy, but so obvious that the campaign consultants would be out of work. It would be especially effective in NC where immies are running around all over the place.
They should have been tried at military tribunals and executed for terrorism.

“Suspected”?......... Who amongst us considered that BEFORE they were let go? There is no question in my mind that odumbo and his ilk KNEW they would return to fight against us once released.
Under the heading of making lemonade, at least now we get to kill them.
I’m not sure why this is considered “news”. Anyone with half a brain knew this was the end game. The reason Obuma is not doing more to destroy ISIL is because he supports it.

It would be surprising if these ex-detainees would NOT be joining ISIS.
What do we expect them to do? Repent?
Why sure! Obama has them all sign a paper swearing that they will never go back to terrorism again!
Should have shot them in their cages when the chance was there. They would have, if it were the other way around.
