When it comes to a disease that can cause massive disruption to our society, there has to be some leeway. I don’t condone quarantine for most things, but there are a few exceptions.

I agree completely. The problem is that I have no faith in the gov’t to do the right thing. I'm trying to view this through the eyes of a Cloward-Pivens strategist. What moves would this govt make to cause maximal damage?
1) Do not quarantine and eventually we will have the pandemic that we all are hoping to avoid, Obola gets his martial law.
2) Forcibly quarantine and then precedent is set for future individuals who may or may not be at risk. After the elections next week, we may start hearing about cases popping up all over Dallas, NY, Atlanta; mandatory quarantines may be announced “out of an abundance of caution” over entire metro areas. Obola gets de facto martial law.
Hope I'm wrong.
