Not by choice I once had to work in NY City for an extended period.
Just about everyone I met there believed that New Yorkers were smarter, sharper, harder to get the best of in a deal, and the envy of the rest of the country.
Yet they elected the fathead, incompetent, do-nothing, carpetbagger, Hillary Clinton to the US Senate twice and keep electing the most incompetent, tax & spend leftists as Governor.
But the further away from NY City you travel upstate, in the smaller villages and towns, the more normal the people - as long as you avoid the other large cities which more and more seem to be turning into welfare distribution centers and plantations for democrat voters.

my state has fallen deep into depravity. I would have moved decades ago but it would have been after a divorce that I couldn’t and wouldn’t do.
I believe that Andrew ‘evil-eye’ Cuomo, the son of the “Sfachime”, won’t get his 25%....but he will most likely win.
there is a huge get out the vote campaign, Upstate...there are lots of non voters who are pissed off at the SAFE act...and I believe the vote will be much closer than predicted...but sadly not good enough.

Watched the Hannity interview posted here. Astorino seems like a pretty strong candidate who at least talks about the right things. Shame he’s running in the cesspool of NY politics.

That’s on top of another $300 check many people received last month if they claimed the Child Tax Credit this past year.
He’s been bemoaning how he can’t restore funding to schools or psych centers - but there sure seems to be enough $$$ to buy votes! (excuse me ... “refund” the taxpayers - but only right before Election Day)
