I expect fossil fuel use to drop dramatically by 2100. We may be using solar or nuclear (fusion???) to produce compressed or liquid O2 and H2 or some more stable, safer combination artificially to provide the power density of fossil fuels. We may have the world Obama is working toward (no civilization, no technology, and thus no fossil fuel use). I think in any case this problem will solve itself by 2100.
I agree. But we can be certain that if/when we transition to alternative fuels there will be an alternative issue used as a wedge / power grab under the guise of “protecting us”.
