The woman had excruciating headaches, repeated seizures and memory loss. So somehow, withering away in agony toward irreversible, certain death would be preferable?
Three of my grandparents thought so. One had a brain tumor, the other dementia, and one had so many physical maladies the doctor's couldn't believe he was still alive. In their misery, they still saw things through to the bitter end. I'll never forget their love or dedication. They had faith it was part of a final cleansing before they came home to the Lord. If someone recommend they murder themselves, they would have punched them in the face with their remaining energy.
They are my role models to this day.

Thank you for posting your thoughts. I can relate.
Our world seems to forget that suffering is a part of life. I do not like it. I at times would lash out at God as I witnessed my family members suffering in the last stages of their lives. But God can handle my weak moments. And I always knew my loved ones knew this was a part of life and Glory awaited them. And like you, they never would have even considered having someone murder them.
