Mitch McConnell is now going to throw off the mask and reveal himself as the conservative he so successfully claimed to be but hid for years, or he’s going to reveal himself actually to be the unprincipled pork politician that has angered so many.

I personally feel that Mitch might decide it's payback time. He was taking all the flak for Reid sitting on bills and there really wasn't anything he could do to change that. He will talk about compromise for public consumption but there is no way he is sharing power with Harry.

I agree, but I am not optimistic about what the repubs will do.

There is no way to get around a veto pen short of president and congress agreeing on a plan.

If Barack Obama wants any kind of legacy at all, he’ll let the accountant/lawyer types in the republican party rewrite his ObamaCare into something that actually works.

They are dumb enough to do it for him, and to create for him a real legacy, but he’s probably dumb enough to fight them just for the sake of fighting them.

We won’t see it repealed. That won’t happen unless a number of democrats in the house and senate side with the republicans to override a veto.

Republicans all grew up as enablers in abusive homes, so they’ll come ‘fix’ it for Obama. Then he’ll betray them again right before the 2016 election.

The big question is HOW they will fix this. The easiest adjustment is to make it like food stamps and issue a health card with so many dollars on it to buy an insurance policy in a nation-wide market.

I lie it. I assume Cruz will run. May be a time consumer. Do we have another strong conservative who can lead the senate?

He talked about energy and not only the Keystone Pipeline. He talked about tax reform. He talked about strategies dealing with ObamaCare. He talked about trade.

If McConnell is to the Senate what Boehner is to the House, we’re screwed. WHEN’S ‘PROTECTOR OF OBAMA’ BOEHNER GOING TO GET THE BOOT?!!! We need to start a campaign!

The networks want to change the subject to 2016 and talk about how the Republicans will be in trouble unless they can work together with the Democrats for the next two years. And also about how this was no mandate, but the Republicans are on some kind of probation.

It would be nice and I will be happy to admit I was wrong id he does but he ain’t that guy. Hes a compromiser. And now that he’s in, FR collectively better man up and remember how to fight because we are either going to fight him to get things we want or get bent over by the RINOs again.

On some dark, late, rainy slow Friday night, it is my fondest hope, the repubs will add a paragraph to finish Yucca Mountain to some bill, that the hero of Benghazi will sign.

McConnell is a COLLABORATOR.

He has a lifetime job, with government salaries, government benefits, government health care, and IF he ever decides to, he can retire to his government pension, government health care, and his dacha by the lake.

He has, and will, dance to Obola's tune, because that's just the kind of man he is. Accept Caesar's coin, do Caesar's bidding.

I agree. But that piece of legislation is so poorly written I think it is impossible to rewrite. I don't think you can do it.

What I think the Repubs will do piecemeal is 1) get rid of the medical device tax; 2) change the 30 hour rule; 3) the Individual Mandate; 4) the 2018 Cadillac Tax; and so much more. They can defund ObamaCare as much as possible as well.

I think Harry’s done used up his usefulness. They’ll change, I’d bet. The media was all over Harry Reid last night blaming him for the losses.

I think the Bill count is about 400ish. ‘Stonewall Reid’ is out of power. Thank God. McConnell’s constant repeating of ‘Dysfunctional Senate’ under Reid couldn’t be more accurate.
