Who’s going to stop Russia if they continue an invasion?
Russia is going to stop Russia. They simply can’t afford to invade & occupy Ukraine without crashing their economy.
Don’t believe the Putinist hype. Russia a kleptocratic paper tiger. A petrostate with an economy the size of Italy. Their Black Sea flagship Kerch is such a piece of rusty junk that it needs to be scrapped after the crew failed to extinguish a small fire a couple days ago. ETC. ETC.

Our own USS Miami, a Los Angeles-class nuke sub, was stricken in March from an onboard fire.
The Flagship of the Black Sea Fleet is the Moskva, not the Kerch. Kerch is a sub-chaser/ Kara class from 1968, and is the last of class still in service.
The fire damaged a section at the rear of the ship, not the whole ship. Due to it’s age, though, I would expect it to be stricken.

Long term I agree with you, just not sure about the short term. Russia is experiencing a massive demographic contraction, rivaled only by Japan. It will be a has been.
