I always thought heroin, particularly black tar heroin, was Mexican and has become such an epidemic because of our open borders. I’ve read on countless sources that the Mexican cartels have established a presence in every American city

Afghanistan is being supplanted by southeast Asia and South America, but it’s still a huge source of the raw material for heroin. Yes, it’s coming across the Mexican border, but that doesn’t mean the poppies were grown in Mexico.
