It's Official (He's Running) Dr. Ben Carson Just Made a Major Announcement
The Political Insider ^ | November 7, 2014

Dr. Ben Carson, the famous neurosurgeon and conservative super star, has made a major announcement: HE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!

Officially, Carson – who just became a Republican after spending years as an Independent – is ready to challenge the policies of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And it all begins with a 40-minute long television special he is sponsoring to introduce himself:

The documentary titled “A Breath of Fresh Air: A New Prescription for America” will air in 22 states and Washington, DC. The paid video will detail some of his biography and family life, including his rise from being born to a single mother with a poor childhood in Detroit to director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins for almost 40 years, known for his work separating conjoined twins, to potential 2016 presidential candidate.

Carson first became a conservative star when last year he created a buzz at the National Prayer Breakfast when in front of an audience that included President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden spoke out about political correctness, health care and taxes.

He also called for a private health care savings plan and a flat tax in a speech that went viral and led to an editorial in the Wall Street Journal titled Ben Carson for President. He is known as a fierce opponent of the president’s health care law known as Obamacare.

He is a moral man and I, too, won’t bad mouth him. Where is it written that a person has to be heavily steeped in politics in order to be qualified for service to the American people? Personally, the more a person lacks political experience, the more qualified and the more eager they are willing to actually serve. (rather than being served)

Another vanity run, the ego of going from a little celebrity to wanting to become make money and build a career by running for President of the United States.

Personally I think he should start with running for the Senate first.

Why would you want a moral man corrupted first before running for president? Lack of DC experience is a resume enhancement, in my book.

We talk like we actually have something to do with who is nominated and can actually do something about the strategy of it all.

Actually, it may be pretty delusional... at the end of the day we will vote for whomever the party runs.

I am always leery of any political candidate whose first race for public office is POTUS.

Why?

George Washington didn’t have any previous political experience, I don’t think.

George Washington had vast political experience before he became President of the United States.

Fifteen years in Virginia House of Burgesses.

George Washington served in the Virginia House of Burgesses for fifteen years before the American Revolution. After a failed bid for a seat in December 1755, he won election in 1758 and represented Frederick County until 1761. That year he ran in Fairfax County, winning a seat which he would retain until 1775.
With its origin in the first meeting of the Virginia General Assembly at Jamestown in July 1619, the House of Burgesses was the first democratically-elected legislative body in the British American colonies.
“Three days later Washington joined the burgesses remaining in Williamsburg to sign a resolution calling for a meeting in August which would become the first Virginia Revolutionary convention. The membership of the five Revolutionary conventions was almost entirely made up of burgesses.”

Member of the First Continental Congress.

The first Continental Congress met in Carpenter’s Hall in Philadelphia, from September 5, to October 26, 1774. Virginia’s delegation presented the most eminent group of men in America. Colo. George Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Patrick Henry, Edmund Pendleton, Colo. Benjamin Harrison, Richard Bland, and at the head of them Peyton Randolph — who would immediately be elected president of the convention.

Member of the Second Continental congress.

Washington served as a Virginia delegate to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1775. Facing a fight for independence with Britain, he was elected Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army.

Major General and Commander-in-Chief of the colonial forces against Great Britain.

Constitutional Convention 1787.

When the Constitutional Convention opened in Philadelphia in May 1787, Washington was elected convention president by a unanimous vote, just as he had been unanimously chosen to lead the Continental Army twelve years before.

Presidential election of 1789.

Washington was once again called upon to serve this country. During the presidential election of 1789, he received a vote from every elector to the Electoral College, the only president in American history to be elected by unanimous approval.”

No question black “leaders” along with white Liberals, will TRY to destroy him, but they might not succeed.

I don’t expect Carson would win the black vote, but if he could get 20 or 25% instead of 6% like Romney did, it would make a huge difference.

Also, keep in mind, he almost certainly would not be running against a black Democrat candidate.

Another factor is that Carson practiced in Baltimore where crime is rampant. For its incredible reputation, always ranked #1 hospital in the USA, Hopkins insists that you MUST have a guard escort you to a place that’s visible from its front door.

So he is a brilliant surgeon. Is he thinking of running for Senate in 2016?

Carson just became a republican this week, after leaving the party *after getting a “sour taste” watching Republicans who had their own personal foibles impeach President Clinton over an extramarital affair.*

“I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it,” Carson elaborated.”

Folks here underrate him at their peril! He is strict Constitutionalist and I know many die-hard Conservatives who are ready to vote for him instead of another attorney who wants a feedbag in DC. He’s messed inside people’s brains for years in a field where blacks had slight success becoming a world famous pediatric neurosurgeon! Those folks have nerves of steel. Trust me—listen more and read his books!
