That is inaccurate.

“Asian” means people who are from, or their ancestors were, the former British Indian Empire in Asia. IOW, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

There are around 6M of them in UK. About 4M Muslim, 1.5M Hindu, .6M Sikh.

Did he leave out the blacks, who came from the West Indies? What about them. I’d sooner have one of them in leadership than a Muslim Asian.

And that is not entirely accurate, as you well know ‘asian’ does equate to muslime (look at the numbers) when politicos over there speak about ‘asians’ they are not talking about Sikh or Hindu.
